Do you like football? Is it Liverpool, or are there other clubs closest to your heart? Either way, this is the program for you! Lots of football at the local pitch, EA FC (FIFA), TV matches, and trips to England!
So, who are you?
- You like playing football at the local pitch, but don’t necessarily see yourself in the Premier League...
 - You enjoy EA FC (FIFA) and eSports.
 - You love a good TV match — complete with heated discussions about VAR.
 - You’re simply the BEST at Fantasy Premier League and want to prove it to the class.
 - You love football — in every form it comes.
 - Is that you? If so, this program is a perfect match for you!

What’s included in the program:
- Football sessions focusing on technique, tactics, and teamwork
 - Gatherings in our classroom, MiniAnfield, where we dive into the club’s past and present
 - Watching matches together in MiniAnfield
 - EA FC (FIFA) matches and tournaments within the class
 - Fantasy Premier League competition — who’s the class’s top strategist?
 - Watching local matches and visiting clubs such as Start and Jerv
 - Matches and tournaments against other teams (folk high schools, boarding schools, and various club teams)
 - Two exciting trips to England to experience live football matches

You don’t have to be a Liverpool supporter to join this program — but naturally, the club gets plenty of attention. We spend time discussing what’s happening in the team: transfers, results, player performances… And of course, we watch matches as often as we can — in a unique and fantastic community.
We have a close collaboration with the local football club (4th division), which gladly welcomes you to join their training sessions and matches if you’re interested.
Of course, we also play plenty of football together as a class!
We build our own team that plays matches and/or tournaments against other schools or clubs. You don’t need to be in top shape to contribute — it’s all about finding and playing to each other’s strengths. And having fun! We also invite former LFC players to our school to share stories about life in football!
We have several active programs at the school that we can collaborate with if we want to — whether it’s social activities like rafting or paintball, or maybe volleyball or a canoe trip. It all depends on the class’s interests beyond football.
We also have a great gaming room for those who want to fine-tune their EA FC (FIFA) skills, and the school provides PlayStation 5 consoles and the latest version of EA FC.
The school has access to fantastic sports facilities!
We have a new sports hall that students can use all year round — both during and after school hours.
In addition, we have access to the local club’s indoor artificial turf arena, just a five-minute walk from the school.
The school also has a swimming pool, a fully equipped gym for strength training and recovery, and great running trails in the surrounding area.
We take two trips to England to experience football the way it’s meant to be! In addition, there’s an optional school trip to England, which also includes a football match — perfect for those who just can’t get enough! We also attend local matches in the Norwegian Eliteserien and OBOS league.
The course teacher has been a passionate Liverpool supporter for many years and has built a great network of contacts in Liverpool — making our England trips extra special.
- Ragnhild Lund Ansnes: Owner of Hotel Tia, author of several official Liverpool books, and has an extensive network within the club.
 - Mari Lunde: Journalist for the official supporters’ club, living in Liverpool.
 - Tage Herstad: Has lived in Liverpool for over 20 years, attended nearly 1,000 Liverpool matches, and runs the football pub Taggy’s.
 - David Barlow: Local guide and owner of DBTours Liverpool.
 - Tore Hansen: Managing Director of the Norwegian supporters’ club.
 - Jan Mølby: Former Liverpool player who lives in Liverpool — and if he’s in town, he’s always happy to meet us.

Group Trip to Denmark
At the beginning of the school year, the entire school travels to Rønbjerg Feriecenter in Denmark. On this trip, we get to know each other well and lay the foundation for a good and safe community that continues when we return to Sørlandet. A very nice start to the year!

International Trip Across Courses
Later, at the beginning of spring, the entire school goes on a trip at the same time, but to different destinations. You choose one of four options and travel with students from other courses. These trips are rich in content in their own way and offer impressions, human encounters, and experiences you will greatly enjoy! One of the trips is included in the school fee, so it doesn’t cost extra to join. The other trips cost extra.
Everyone chooses one of three options for the international trip across courses. These are arranged simultaneously. You make your choice after you have started at the school.
- Copenhagen, Denmark (included in the school fee).
 - England (costs extra).
 - Ecuador and Galápagos (costs extra).

The trips will be arranged around March 2027.
More information about all the trips will be provided before you choose which trip you want to go on.
With us, you become part of a large, inclusive environment where everyone gets to know each other – of course, across different courses. That’s why we prioritize being together.
- Overnight trip in the Archipelago (Havglimt!)
 - Trip to Denmark with the whole group
 - Mountain hike
 - Various tournaments
 - Large common room to hang out in during free time
 - Special weeks where we mix classes based on what you want to contribute:
- Practical work
 - Adventure forest for 1st grade at the local primary school
 - Entertainment show for parents
 - Learning to manage sound and light
 - Filming/photography

 - Many leisure activities to choose from – often something happening every day.
 - Night hike in the moonlight
 - Christmas workshop
 - Cozy evenings
 - Hall activities
 - Super enjoyable student evenings

The teaching will mainly be conducted in Norwegian. However, if you have a good understanding of English, you will be given enough explanation to follow the lessons fairly well.
You therefore cannot expect to understand everything, but there’s a good chance you’ll learn quite a bit of Norwegian during the school year.
Much of the information regarding daily school life is translated into English, as we have several students from other countries each year.
