Ghana 🇬🇭

School trip - Roots & Routes

In Ghana, we encounter an Africa that is far more diverse and complex than the headlines suggest. Through our partnership with Adanu, we gain insight into how local communities work with education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. We come not as aid workers, but as students eager to learn and understand.

Where the World Comes Closer

Our journey takes us through vibrant cities, busy markets, villages, national parks, and coastal communities. Along the way, we meet people who share stories and perspectives that challenge our assumptions and broaden our understanding of the world. Some of the most valuable lessons come through everyday encounters and conversations.

Ghana also plays an important role in understanding the historical links between Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe. Along this coast, Danish-Norwegian slave ships purchased enslaved Africans for transport across the Atlantic. Exploring this history helps us understand connections that still shape societies today.

Ghana is known for its stability and hospitality. We travel as a group, work with trusted local partners, and place a strong emphasis on safety throughout the journey.

This is more than a trip. It is an experience that challenges, inspires, and offers perspectives that stay with you long after you return home.
